Define Additional Information on Design Part
Explanation
This activity is used to define additional information, such as manufacturer,
supplier, part no, type designation and dimension/quality, among others, on
a design part. These additional information can be defined on Design
Part or Design Parts page.
Prerequisites
A design part should be created.
System Effects
- Additional information is stored on the design object.
- If a part number is added to a design part, a system prompt asks whether
you want to create the part number as an inventory part. If you click
Yes, the additional part later can be transferred along with the object
to IFS/Equipment where it will become a spare part. If you click No,
the additional part will not be transferred along with the object to IFS/Equipment
and it will not be created as a spare part.
