This activity is used to make the necessary settings for the transfer of objects from IFS/Asset Design to IFS/Equipment, and the creation of objects and object levels in IFS/Equipment. This activity can be performed on Class or Classes page. In this activity, you will define the equipment object type and equipment object level for a particular class. The equipment object level enables an IFS/Asset Design object's structure to follow the object when a parallel object is created in IFS/Equipment by changing the object's status within IFS/Asset Design.
If IFS/Equipment is not installed, this activity is unnecessary.
Entering the equipment object type and level enables an equipment object to be created in IFS/Equipment using the design object's Object ID and to be followed in IFS/Equipment.
