Define Plant

Explanation

This activity involves defining a Plant to hold your IFS/Asset Design object data. A plant here, contains an engineering or reengineering designs that behaves according to its Engineering Standard. A plant mainly consists of design objects and also owns the object information such as Object Connections, Document Connections, Project Connections and Additional Parts, among others. Multiple plants can be defined under the same standard. An object in one plant cannot be moved to another. However objects of different plants can be related to each other.

It is possible to define settings on a plant making that plant accessible or inaccessible to a selected group of users. One of those accessible plants can be set as a Default Plant.

Plant page can be used to create a single plant whereas Standard page can be used to create multiple plants of the same standard.
