Sign Off Maintenance Event
Explanation
This activity is used to perform inspector sign off for maintenance events
that have sign off requirements. The following rules apply when signing off
an event:
- If sign off requirements with both Inspector and Counter Inspector
requirement types are defined on the event, two different persons are required
to sign off the event.
- If a certificate has been defined for the inspector sign off requirements
on the event, the person signing off the event must have the necessary qualifications
to perform the sign off. Note: If a certificate is not used for the
inspector sign off requirements when signing off, the identity of the person
performing the sign off is retained but validations will not be performed.
- When signing off an event where more than one signature requirement
has been defined for the same requirement type, only one signature can be
specified and the person signing off must have all certificates required.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, events with inspector sign off requirements must
exist on the maintenance order. The events must be in the Work Done status.
System Effects
- The event is signed off.
- The ID of the person who performed the sign off and the date of signing
off is entered automatically on the sign off requirement.
- If all sign off requirements have been performed on the event, the
Sign Off Performed option is enabled on the event record.
- Inspector sign off information on the event will be retained in history.
- Depending on the type of event being signed off, the due calculation
for interval maintenance, modifications, post maintenance checks, life limited
parts or fault deferrals will run automatically for the serial to calculate
new due dates and values.
