The repair order type determines the kind of environment the service should be processed in.
The preferred repair order type is selected from the Repair Order Type field. Based on the repair order type you select, the relevant option will be selected in the Release to Repair dialog.
A repair shop order is created. The repair part is displayed in the header, and a corresponding line is created in the Materials tab together with other components if a repair structure exists. The shop order acquires Reserved status and the repair part will be reserved to the material line. Now the actual repair/service can be performed.
The component repair order line status changes to Released.
