Enter National Codification Bureau Code

Explanation

Use this activity to define National Codification Bureau code.

Each country participating in the NATO Codification System (NCS) has a National Codification Bureau (NCB). The National Codification Bureau within each country centrally assigns their NATO Stock Numbers (NSN's). Each country has its own two-digit NCB code.

NCB code can be connected to a ISO Country Code optionally. The NCB code is represented by two numerical characters. Once saved, the value in this field cannot be updated. NCB Code Description is the description of the given NCB code. If needed, this value may be updated. If a value is not entered in the NCB Code Description field, the value entered in the Country Code Description field is automatically set to the NCB code description when saving the record.
