About Change Request
CRs are used to gather all potential changes found by members
in an organization, evaluate them, and eventually create Change Orders (COs)
to authorize the work.
The purposes of the CR are to gather information in order to analyze the
consequences of changes (error correction, improvements, etc.).
The basic data must be present before work can be done in Change Request.
Use Change Request Level and Change Request Type in Basic Data.
CR Statuses
- Preliminary - The CR is being prepared. The analysis of consequences
and costs and registration of information is not complete.
- Active - The CR status is Active, waiting for a CO to be issued.
The CR cannot be set to Active before the approval process is completed.
- Processed - A CO has been issued for this CR. When the state
of the CO is changed to Approved, the state of all the connected CRs will
automatically be changed to Processed.
- Cancelled - The CR is rejected and no CO will be issued.
