Include/Exclude Components
Explanation
This activity is used to include and/or exclude components from the work
scope manually. This makes it possible to expand or minimize the work scope
when the available maintenance levels do not sufficiently cover your requirements.
To include a component or exclude components:
- Select the required node in the tree navigator in the Define
Work Scope page.
- Go to the Assign Mx Level tab, select the
required maintenance level and then click Expand.
- To include a component, click on the Components not Included
tab, and then click the Include to Work Scope
command for the required part.
- To exclude a component, click on the Components Included
tab, and then click the Exclude from Work Scope command
for the required part.
Prerequisites
- A maintenance level should already be assigned for the parent part.
- When excluding a part, make sure there is no maintenance level assigned
at the next level.
System Effects
- New disposition and/or disassembly orders will be created for the component
parts included manually.
- Disposition orders will not be created for the component parts which
are excluded.
- Parts included in the work scope will be shown in the Components
Included tab and the Actual Included option
will be enabled for these records.
- Parts excluded from the work scope will be shown in the
Components not Included tab.
