Release Disposition Shop Order Line
Explanation
To start the processing of a disposition line, set the state of a shop
order disposition line to Released. Once the line is released, you
can continue processing it by recording discrepancies and selecting repair
codes. It is possible to automate this step for a disposition code by
selecting the option Auto Release in the MRO Dipsosition
Codes page.
Prerequisites
This activity requires the existence of a disposition line on a
disposition shop order in the state of New.
System Effects
This activity will cause the following system effects to occur:
- The state of a disposition shop order line will be updated to
Released.
- If the disposition code indicates that the material is to be
scrapped, the scrap transaction will occur. Otherwise, the material will
be received into inventory and reserved for approval.
- If the disposition code indicates that the material is not going to
be reused and put to inventory, it is possible to set the dispostion
line for transfer of ownership. As a result ownership transfer will
occure. Unit cost of the material will be fetched based on unit cost of
the part. For condition code tracked parts, cost will be fetched from
estimated cost for condition for the part.
- A history record is generated for the scrapped serial in the
Part Serial History page.
- If the material is scrapped, the event will be removed from the work
scope if it was not approved. If the event had a status of Approved,
the status will be updated to Removed.
- If the scrapped material is an assigned part for a modification, all
its affected component parts parts in work scope will be deleted. If the
the scrapped material is an affected part for a modification, it will be
deleted from the work scope.
- The maintenance event in Fleet and Asset Management is canceled.
- The vehicle condition of the serial is set to the vehicle condition
code defined with the setting Set when last event is finished.
