Execute Ship Dirty
Explanation
If the complex assembly service contract allows it, parts can be shipped
dirty. Once the part and serial details are registered for the disposition
line, the command Ship Dirty is enabled.
Prerequisites
- This activity requires the existence of a disposition shop order for
a position part defined in the customer’s complex assembly service
contract as shipped dirty.
System Effects
- Parts identified is automatically executed.
- A repair code is automatically added based on the setup in the
Complex Assembly Service Contract page, on the
Ship Dirty tab.
- External service supplier and service type is automatically inserted
for the disposition line based on the added repair code.
- Approval of the disposition line is executed automatically.
- As a result of this activity, a disposition line for a ship dirty
part is processed to Approved.
- An external service order (purchase order) is created for processing
of the external service type linked with the disposition line handling
the ship dirty part(s).
