Review Aircraft Turn
Explanation
Use this activity to review details related to an aircraft turn in order
to prepare for maintenance execution.
My Aircraft Turns shows a list of all aircraft arriving at
maintenance locations for the airport defined for your user. You can also
configure it to show aircraft turns for the number
of hours ahead of and prior to the system date and time.
For an aircraft turn, details related to the arrival flight and departure
flight, if any, are displayed. A departure flight is linked to an aircraft
turn if there is a flight scheduled to depart after the arrival flight for a
particular aircraft from the same airport. Scheduled arrival and departure
dates and times are displayed, until the actual date and time for flights
are recorded.
An aircraft turn
takes on a status as follows:
- Inbound – The aircraft is scheduled to arrive at your location.
- Arrived – The aircraft has arrived at your location and the inbound flight
for the turn has been completed.
- In Maintenance – The aircraft has arrived at the maintenance
location, and the work package for the aircraft turn has been started.
- Released – The work package for the turn has been completed and
the aircraft has been released to service.
- Departed - The aircraft for the turn has taken off on the outbound
flight.
A work package is displayed as planned for an aircraft turn as follows:
- For aircraft turns in the Inbound or
Arrived status where a departure flight has been linked, the
earliest of the work packages with Scheduled Start on or after the
Scheduled Arrival of the arrival flight and before the
Scheduled
Departure of the departure flight is connected. When a departure flight
has not been linked for an aircraft turn, the earliest of the work
packages with Scheduled Start on or after the Scheduled
Arrival of the
arrival flight is connected.
- For aircraft turns in the In Maintenance status,
the work package with the latest Actual Start is
displayed.
- For aircraft turns in the Released and
Departed status, the work
package with the latest Actual End after the Actual
Arrival
of the flight is displayed.
You can also view details for each aircraft turn such as the work
assigned to the work package, and the open, deferred and closed faults for
the aircraft in the turn on the
Aircraft Turn Details page.
