Add or Remove Connection to Task Card

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a task card or remove the connection to a task card from the different maintenance event codes (i.e., maintenance codes, condition limits, modifications, fault functions, life limits, and post maintenance check definitions).

These are the task cards that should be performed when interval maintenance, condition based maintenance, modifications, fault repairs, life limited part (LLP) replacements, and post maintenance checks (PMCs) are carried out on serials.

Add Task Card

An existing task card can be connected to an event code in the Task Cards tab found in all pages listed under the Pages section. Resources, material, and subtasks defined for the task card will be retrieved automatically and displayed in the relevant tabs. Task cards may be connected as follows:

For interval maintenance, connect the task card to a part revision - maintenance code combination.
For condition based maintenance, connect the task card to a part revision - condition limit combination.
For modifications, connect the task card to a part revision - modification revision - modification execution type combination.
- Note: the Decomply execution type is available only if the Decompliance Allowed option is enabled for the part number in the Define Modification/Assign Parts tab.
For fault repairs, connect the task card to a product model - fault function - part revision combination.
For LLP replacements, connect the task card to a part revision - stress rating template part revision - stress rating combination. The task card(s) will be used to remove the LLP from its parent once the LLP expires.
For PMCs, connect the task card to a part revision-PMC revision combination.

A task card can consist of resources, material, zones and access panels, sign off requirements, criticalities, condition measurements, and subtasks. Task cards can be broken down into more detailed activities referred to as subtasks. A subtask can consist of resources, material, zones and access panels, and sign off requirements. Remove Task Card

To remove a task card, click Remove Connection from the same tab. In the Remove Connection dialog, you can choose to only remove the connection between the task card and the event code or to remove both the connection and the task card.

If the task card is included in a sequence, the defined sequencing will be removed when removing the connection to the task card.

Prerequisites

The task card must be defined.
The maintenance event code to which the task card is to be connected must be defined. That is, the maintenance code, condition limit, modification code with assigned part revisions, fault function structure, stress ratings for the life limited parts (LLPs), and post maintenance checks (PMCs) with assigned part revisions.
Furthermore, to connect task cards to a modification, the modification execution information must have been defined. That is, initial inspections, continued inspections, terminating action, and whether decompliance is allowed. Modification execution types will be shown based on this information.

System Effects

The task cards connected to the event codes are retrieved automatically when the corresponding maintenance event is included on a maintenance order.
When a fault is reported, and the given product model and function structure has predefined task cards, these task cards will be retrieved automatically for the fault. This information can be viewed in the Manage Fault Information/Task Cards tab.
If a task card is connected to or removed from an active PMC definition, this change will be recorded in the PMC definition journal.
