This activity is used to register condition limits for a serial part revision. Condition limits are used to define the conditions that are to be measured for each part revision using condition limits and recommended intervals. When a new condition limit is created for a part revision, all serials with this part revision will receive the new condition limit by default. In the same manner, when a condition limit is deleted, it will also be deleted from all serials with the given part revision. Note: A condition limit cannot be deleted if a maintenance event for the condition limit exists on a serial.
It is possible to copy condition limits from one part revision to another. This is useful when you create new revisions of a serialized engineering part for which the condition limits are the same or similar. To copy condition limits, click Copy Condition Limits in the Condition Monitoring Program page. Condition limits can be copied from any part revision that contains condition limits. However, a warning will appear if the part number you copy from differs to the part number to which you want to copy condition limits.
When defining condition limits, additional information on the condition limit can be entered as a maintenance event remark. When a maintenance event is created for the condition limit, this information will be transferred to the event.
A post maintenance check definition can be connected to the condition limit. When the corresponding maintenance event is finished, post maintenance checks will be generated to perform post maintenance activities for the condition limit.
Documents can be connected to the condition limit by using the relevant functionality in Attachments. When the condition limit is deleted, only the connection to the document is deleted not the document itself. If you want to delete a document, you will need to manually delete it from IFS/Document Management.
As a result of this activity, condition measurements measurements can be recorded on all serial that have the part revision for which the condition limit was registered. A maintenance event will be generated for the condition if;
