Define Item Code
Explanation
This activity is used to define a fault deferral item with a maximum delay.
If the Requires List Item Definition option enabled for the deferral
list code, deferral items must be defined before the deferral list code can
be used.
A deferral item holds the maximum delays in days and/or in operational parameters.
If the default maximum delays have been defined on the
Categories
tab, you can associate an item code with a category. Otherwise you must
manually specify the maximum delay in days and/or operational parameter. The
items codes can then be associated with the applicable part revisions and functions.
Prerequisites
- The fault deferral list code must be defined. For more information,
refer the activity Define Fault Deferral.
- If the maximum delay is to be retrieved from categories, the deferral
category must be defined. For more information, refer the activity Define
Category with Default Maximum Delays.
System Effects
- Deferral items are created.
- The deferral item can be connected to part revisions. For more information,
refer the activity Connect Part Revision to Item Code.
- The deferral item can be connected to functions. For more information,
refer the activity Connect Function to Item Code.
