Use this activity to enter and maintain storage zones. They can be entered for inventory parts. Storage zones are used when scanning the inventory for suitable/available locations when performing the inventory putaway process. You could also consolidate customer order picking based on storage zones.
A storage zone gathers a freely selected group(s) of storage bins within
a site into zones and is entered using the levels in the warehouse navigator.
Note that storage zones can be defined in a more flexible way by using, for
example, the percentage sign (%) and semicolon (;) to define a zone that contains,
for example, a number of bays.
Note that you can use special symbols when entering data in the table section. For example, if you want to enter warehouses 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, the condition would be 5..10
This activity has no prerequisites.
A new storage zone is created with one or more zone definitions. When entering storage zones, a separate column exists that displays the SQL expression that will be used based on the values entered in the columns for warehouse levels.
