Retrieve Parts Available for Reservation

Explanation

Use this activity to identify inventory parts that are available to reserve to a specific order line. This activity is available from the following pages:

• Customer Order/Order Lines
• Customer Order/Rental Order Lines
• Supplier Material for Purchase Order Line
• Material Requisition page (Line section)
• Shop Order/Materials tab
• DOP Header/Structure tab
• DOP Order/Detail tab
• DOP Order/Components tab

This is a quick method to query for part availability. For example, it can be useful in cases when a condition code is specified on the order line, and you want to determine if the same part with a different condition code is available. You can then use that information to make changes in the order lines, if desired.

Prerequisites

• The appropriate customer order line, purchase order line, material requisition line, shop order material line, DOP order component, or DOP header must be entered.

System Effects

A query is created to retrieve all part records for the specified part that are available for reservation.
