Enter Manufacturing Data

Explanation

This procedure is one of many that you can use to complete the registration of a manufactured inventory part. 

You can enter manufacturing data using the tabs and commands found on the Inventory Part page; Revisions, Manufacturing and Manufacturing MRO. Using the Part Revisions command, it is possible for you to view and modify information about the different revisions of a part. On the Manufacturing tab you can enter manufacturing-specific attributes of an inventory part. Using the Manufacturing MRO  command, basic data for MRO Manufacturing connected to this particular part can be entered.
MRP and PMRP calculation will consider the inventory parts, only if the MRP Control Flag option enabled.

The manufacturing-specific attributes found in the Manufacturing tab can also be entered and edited using the Manufacturing Part Attributes page.

Prerequisites

• An inventory part header and some general information must be entered.
• The unit of measure must be defined on the ISO Code Usage page.
• The process type must have been defined on the Shop Order Process Type page.
• The manufacturing engineer must have been defined on the Manufacturing Engineers page.
• To be able to change the state in the DOP Pegged SO Update field from the defaulted state Planned to any other state, the part must have been defined as a DOP part.

System Effects

Information on revisions of a manufactured inventory part, and manufacturing-specific attributes of an inventory part are entered.
