Print Barcode Labels from Inventory

Explanation

Use this activity to create new barcode labels. Information printed on the barcode label includes part number, lot/batch number, W/D/R number, pack size, serial number, engineering change level, barcode ID, and the barcode.

When you print barcode labels for parts, a dialog box appears in which standard pack size, number of labels, and number of copies can be specified. You have the option to enter the number of labels and number of copies that you want to print, useful when you want to print a specific number of barcode labels. Example: There are 100 parts in inventory. You receive another ten parts and would like to print ten new barcode labels. In that case, you should specify the number of labels as ten (10). If you want to print copies of the labels, specify the number in the Number of Copies field.

Printing barcode labels for serial-handled parts works a bit different. In the dialog box that appears, you only need to specify the number of copies to be made. For instance, if you enter two (2) in this field, one identical copy will be printed for each barcode label. The default value is one (1), which means that no copies will be made.

You can reprint barcode labels using the Inventory Part Barcodes Analysis page.
