Manage Warehouse Tasks Planning
Explanation
This activity is used to manage and plan a warehouse task by using multiple
filtrations and also to assign or reassign a worker or a worker group. It is
also possible for the planner to look at the current and future work load
and resource availability balance, as well as ways of making quick changes to
the system in order to regain a convenient work load or resource availability
balance. This includes both very radical mass changes and small ad hoc changes
to both basic data and the current set of open warehouse tasks.
In the Warehouse Manager Task Planning
page the following activities can be performed:
- If you select the Assigned option in the Assignment section,
the Worker ID and Worker Group fields will be enabled and
you can enter the required ID of the worker or the worker group.
- If you wish to filter by the location group, enter the required location
group using the List of Values in the Location Group fieled in the
header area.
- If you need to change the status of tasks: Select the required task
ID from the list items, open the list item context menu and select Plan,
Release, Start, Complete, Park or Restart options according
to your requirement.
- If you need more information about a warehouse task, right-click and
then click Warehouse Task option.
- The manager can prioritize the warehouse tasks as he wish by setting
an operative priority in the Operative Priority column.
- If you need to assign or reassign a worker group to a specific task,
select the required task(s) from the list items, open the list item context
menu and select Assign/Reassign Worker Group option.
- If you need to assign or reassign a worker to a specific task, select
the required task(s) from the list items, open the list item context menu
and select Assign/Reassign Worker option.
If you want to see the current work load and resource situation, use the
Workload per Location Group page or
the Workload per Location Group Graph page.
if you want to see the information graphically. Select the Site,
Task Type, and Location Group that you want
to see in the header of the page. In the lower part of the page, you will now
see the tasks that are waiting to be executed, together with the work resources.
Prerequisites
- The warehouse workers and worker groups must have been entered with
the correct setup of task types, location groups, and efficiency rates in
Warehouse Task Basic Data/Warehouse Worker
tab.
- Warehouse tasks for the current site must not have been generated, closed,
or canceled.
- Stock should not be frozen for counting.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- Desired information will be retrieved as per selected filter criteria.
- A warehouse worker or worker group will be assigned or re-assigned.
- If the planner makes any changes to the warehouse work or to the warehouse
task, this will affect the work load in some way. He might change the time
that a worker spends on a specific task type so that the available resources
increase for this task type. He could change the requested date finished
for a task in order to re-plan it in time.
- The changes that affect the work load or resource situation are displayed
in Workload per Location Group or
in Workload per Location Group Graph.
