Refill All Putaway Zones

Explanation

This activity is used to schedule or to directly perform a Refill All Putaway Zones job based on the putaway zone ranking. You can specify the selection criteria to limit which site, warehouse, bay or part needs to be refilled. When running the Refill All Putaway Zones job there will be an evaluation of the locations and the quantity stored at those locations to see if there are locations that better fit the location criteria for the part based on the putaway zone ranking.

For locations in remote warehouses it is possible to refill the location from inventory (transport task is created) or from purchase (purchase requisition is created). For locations in warehouses not defined as remote, it is only possible to refill from inventory (transport task is created).

Note that the refill is using the same logic as for inventory putaway, meaning that it will evaluate putaway zones, storage requirements, standard putaway quantities etc. in order to store remaining parts on-hand on the best available locations.

You can either perform a Refill All Putaway Zones job directly or schedule the task as a background job.

Use Refill All Putaway Zones to perform a Refill All Putaway Zones job directly from the Navigator.

Prerequisites

On Site the parameter Refill Putaway Zone must be set to From Putaway Zone or From All Stock Locations or the Inventory part must have Putaway setup set to From Putaway Zones or From All Stock Locations.

System Effects

For warehouse defined as remote: Depending on which refill source that is set for the part there will be either a transport task or a purchase requisition created to refill the location. The refill source is set per part in the remote warehouse assortment. If no remote warehouse assortment is defined but still the part is defined to be refilled, it will be refilled by default from inventory (and a transport task will be created).

For warehouse not defined as remote: A transport task will be created to refill the location
