You can add a component to a multilevel structure during the multilevel repair process. You can also specify the new part revision for the specific parent part that could happen due to the structure change.
Expand the tree structure and select the revision node of the parent part to which you want to add a component. In the Repair Actions section, click Add. Enter a part number, quantity and a repair reason. You can select a new parent part revision and add a note if needed. If you do not want to add the new component to the new as-built structure which is created when receiving the multilevel repair shop order, you can enable Exclude from As-Built Structure. Finally, click Apply or OK.
Note: If the component you are adding is serial-tracked, the quantity must be 1. You may add multiple lines for each serial component.
Multilevel repair shop order should exist with the parent part in the Reserved or Issued state.
As a result of this activity, the changes done to the component is written to the repair history. New components added are copied to the Shop Order/Material tab. When receiving the repair shop order, a new as-built structure is created with the changes done.
