Certify Parts from Shop Order
Explanation
You can generate and print an aviation part certificate in-house for a component
or aircraft. A part certification form may be generated after a maintenance
action such as a shop visit, an engine overhaul or component repair is completed.
It may also be issued for new parts under a production organization approval.
The form can be issued for a serialized components.
To certify parts for a shop order, click Traceability, then
Certify Parts. From the overview, select a record and click
Print Part Certificate. To reprint a previously issued certificate,
click Reprint Part Certificate.
The Print Release to Service Documents assistant
will let you enter certificate data in steps:
- Approval type, approver ID, form type and revision are mandatory for
all types.
- Manufacturer number and manufacturer part number are mandatory for maintenance
certificates.
- Customer and status/work is mandatory for all types.
- Design data approval code is mandatory for production certificates.
- Airworthiness regulation code is mandatory for maintenance certificates.
Prerequisites
- The part serial must be received into inventory from the shop order.
- For CAMRO and CRO orders a maintenance certificate is used and there
must be a certifying maintenance organization set on the shop order.
- Basic data for part certificates must have been defined.
- The person generating the certificate must be an authorized approver.
- The approval organization must have a valid approval to generate certificates.
- The part for which the certificate is to be generated must be included
in the capability list for the approval.
System Effects
- The part certificate will be printed with the form type defined for
the authority of the approval organization of the order.
- The form tracking number will be connected to the serial or batch on
the Shop Order Part Certification page.
- It will be possible to view the created part certificate on the
Part Certificates page.
- It will be possible to reprint the generated part certificate.
- Note: if the certified part is a new part, it will
not be possible to undo the receipt. Undoing the recept will try to remove
the part serial record, to which the issued certificate is connected.
