Join Production
Explanation
This activity is used to start production (runtime) time for an employee
or a team on an operation, or sequence of operations where production is already
ongoing.
To perform this activity from Shop Floor Workbench,
select an operation with ongoing production, but where the current employee
or team is not reporting and click Join Production. It is also
possible to perform this activity in Operation Guide.
Then you select an operation in Shop Floor Workbench
with ongoing setup, but where the current employee or team is not reporting,
open Operation Guide and click Join Production.
Prerequisites
- A production (runtime) activity must have been started on the operation.
- The employee or team to join the production cannot already have an ongoing
clocking on the operation.
- Reporting Mode must have been set to Employee Reporting
on the used site.
- If an employee qualification requirement exists for the operation, and
the qualification check for the site is mandatory, then the employee must
have those qualifications.
- If the employee has a valid work schedule for time and attendance reporting,
the employee must be clocked in for the day.
System Effects
- A new labor runtime clocking sequence for the employee or team will
be created.
- If the employee or team is running an indirect job, this will be stopped.
- If the employee or team is running other operation(s), and the
Allow Concurrent Operations field on Shop Floor
Employees or Shop Floor Teams page
is set to No, these operation(s) will be stopped.
