Report Kanban Supplier Receipt
Explanation
You can report a purchase order receipt in a kanban circuit, with the replenish type either as Supplier or
External Site. When reporting against a card, the system performs the
purchase order receipt and records the receipts against a kanban card in an electronic history.
For the Supplier replenish type, It is possible to report received
goods with or without a pre-existing purchase order, depending on the type
of the supplier kanban. The possible supplier kanban reporting options are:
- Visual supplier kanban receipt with or without a pre-existing
purchase order
- Electronic supplier kanban receipt with a pre-existing purchase
order
In addition to the manual methods of reporting against a kanban card, the
system provides support for the use of an external device, such as a bar
code reader, to enter the information electronically.
If the replenish type is External Site, a receipt can be made
either for a distribution order or a transport task. If the replenish order
type is Distribution Order, a receipt will be made from internal
order transit. If the replenish order type is Transport Task, the
transport task will be executed.
Note: Although it is possible to set up kanban circuits
for batch tracked and serial tracked parts, it is not possible to register
arrival for them using the kanban card, since you need to select or enter
the batch or serial number.
Prerequisites
- A kanban circuit defined for a part, with the replenishment source
either as Supplier or External Site.
- If the replenish type is Supplier and signal type is
Electronic, a released purchase order must exist.
- If the signal type is Visual without a purchase order, then
the Create Purchase Order for Kanban Receipt option on the
Kanban Circuit
page must be enabled. If a released purchase order exists, then this
option should not be enabled.
- If the replenish type is External Site, signal type is
Electronic, and replenish order type is Distribution Order, a
distribution order created from the kanban card must exist in transit.
- If the replenish type is External Site, signal type is
Electronic, and replenish order type is Transport Task, a
transport task created from the kanban card must exist.
System Effects
- As a result of this activity, the completed items will be received
at the supply location of the circuit.
- If a kanban card is identified in this transaction, the system will
update the last transaction information so that the card reflects the
supplier receipt.
