New Indirect Labor Clocking
Explanation
Use this activity to manually register a new indirect labor clocking record for
an employee. Indirect time is booked against an indirect job.
To register a new indirect labor clocking from:
- Shop Floor Workbench page, click
Manage Indirect Time and then Clockings. In
the Indirect Clockings dialog, click
New Clocking.
- Shop Floor Clockings page, click
New Clocking and then New Indirect Labor Clocking.
- Time Card and
Time Card - Details pages. Click Report Time,
or select the relevant calendar area and click the plus icon.
If the indirect job is ongoing, leave
the stop time field empty.
If you want to start a clocking record for an entire team, enter a team
in the Team field and leave Employee and Stop Time
fields blank. Then clocking records will be created for all employees currently
in the team.
Note: It is not allowed to register an active team clocking record
on a specific employee since all employees in the team must run the same operations.
It is also not allowed to create a stopped clocking record for an entire team
since the system only keeps track of the employees currently in the team.
Prerequisites
- At least one indirect job must
have been entered on the Indirect Jobs page.
- On the
Site page, the Report Mode must have been set to
Employee, and at least one employee must have been entered on the
Shop Floor Employees page and connected to the site which to
the indirect job belongs.
System Effects
- A new indirect labor clocking record will be created or,
if started for a team, clocking records for all team members will be created.
- If a stop time has been entered, a time result will be calculated
and an indirect history transaction (LABOR_IND) will be created.
