Park Shop Order
Explanation
Use this activity to park a shop order. Parking will stop further processing
of the relevant shop order.
To park a shop order from:
- Shop Order, Shop Orders,
Disposition Shop Order pages. Select the relevant order(s),
click Status and then Park.
- Shop Floor Workbench page. Select the relevant
operation, click Status and then Park Shop Order. You can
also park a shop order when stopping the setup or production. Select the
relevant operation, click Stop Setup or Stop Production,
select Interrupted from the Stop Reason drop-down, select
an interruption cause connected to a park reason in the Interruption
Cause drop-down and enable the Park option.
- Machine Load, Labor Load, Machine Operations
Scheduling or Labor Operations Scheduling charts. Select a
chart segment representing a shop order operation and click Park
from the card.
In the Park Shop Order dialog, select a Park Reason.
Optionally enter additional information you need to add in the Park Information
section.
Prerequisites
This activity requires the existence of a shop order having a status of
Planned, Released, Reserved or Started.
System Effects
The status of the shop order material lines
and operation lines will change to Parked.
The result of this activity depends on the following planning parameters
attached to the connected Park Reason:
- Include shop order as supply by Include as Supply
- Unreserve the material by Unreserve
- Include material requirements as demand by Include as Demand
- Include in work load calculations by Include as Load
- Enable revision or alternate to be changed by Enable Rev/Alt to be
Exceptions:
- For MRO Shop Orders, only the park reasons with the Include as Supply
and Enable Rev/Alt to be Changed option disabled are
allowed. This is because customer owned stocks are not considered as a supply,
and the part revision is controlled by the part to be repaired.
- Material lines with the supply type Maintenance Repair and Overhaul
or Component Repair Order will not be unreserved as a result of parking.
