Repair MRO Shop Order
Explanation
To receive a repaired part from a repair shop order, click
Receive, then Manual Receive. A proposed location
to receive to can been set for the shop order. If no proposed location is
set, you can enter a location for each receipt. You may select to report
operations automatically, but automatic issue of materials (backflush)
cannot be done. The Actual Off Log section shows serial
parts in the structure of the received part, as a result of the disassembly.
Prerequisites
- The source of the shop order is either an MRO interim order
structure, or a CRO repair with a disposition shop order.
- The shop order must be started.
- Enough components must be issued for the quantity to be received.
System effects
- If the Auto Report option is selected, open
operations will be reported with a quantity complete up to the received
quantity. Depending on the Auto Report Labor Time with
Quantity and Auto Report Machine Time with Quantity settings
on the Work Center page, standard time for labor and
machine may, or may not be reported according to the quantity reported
as complete
For a repair shop order that includes a modification which results in a
change of part number, the following system effects will occur:
- The new part number as listed in the produced part will be used in
all the receipts
- System will validate if the received serial number is issued for the
order for the old part number.
- New part serial record is created in part serial and serial
structure for the new
part. Part serial history record is added indicating the part number
change
- In the part serial history of the old serial, a record is created
indicating the part number change
- If the repair part is an assembly, underlying components are
transferred to the new part.
