To release the shop order requisition connected to the selected node and all its preceding nodes into shop orders, click Release Level.
A batch balance ID with at least one shop order requisition connected must exist.
As a result of this activity, the system releases all shop order requisitions connected to the selected node and nodes directly above it into shop orders. All shop order requisitions released simultaneously receive the same shop order number but different release numbers.
If Lot/Batch Tracking for the part is set to Order Based, Lot Quantity Rule is set to Many Lots, Sub Lot Rule is set to Sub Lots Allowed and Multi-Level Tracking is not selected, lot/batch numbers will be generated and reserved to the shop orders based on the order no, release no and sequence no of the base shop order followed by a running number. I.e. if the base shop order no is 123456, release no 1 and sequence no *, lot/batch numbers for parent shop orders will be generated with the format 123456-1-*-1;2, 123456-1-*-1;3, 123456-1-*-1;4 etc.
If the Lot/Batch Tracking for the part is set to Lot Tracking, shop orders will inherit the lot/batch number reserved to the shop order requisition if such exists.
