You can replace a component of a multilevel structure during the multilevel repair process. You can also change the quantity of an existing component. Expand the tree structure and select the revision node of the parent part for which you want to replace a component. In the Repair Actions section, click Replace. Enter a replacement part and quantity and a repair reason. You can select a new parent part revision and add a note if needed. Finally, click OK.
As a result of this activity, the changes done to the component gets written in the repair history. The number of components marked as to be removed will be listed in the Shop Order/Salvage Parts tab. Replaced component details are added to the Shop Order/Material tab. When receiving the repair shop order, a new as-built structure is created with the changes done.
