Use this activity to create and print the most frequently generated shop
order reports at the same time.
Reports can be created for both one or several shop orders using different
methods:

assistant, add one row for each shop order and click Next.
- From the Shop Order or Shop Orders
page, select relevant order(s), click Reports
and then Create Reports.
- From the Shop Floor Workbench page, select
the relevant operations and click Create Reports.
- From the Operation Guide, assistant opened
from Shop Floor Workbench, click
Create Reports.
If you enable the Pick List, Work Instruction,
or Barcode Label, additional steps will appear in the assistant:
- Pick List:
- In the Pick List(s) per drop-down, select the required
type of consolidation.
- If you want to print the pick list, enable Print Pick List.
- If you want to print media images and texts connected to the inventory
part on the pick list, enable Print Attached Media Items.
- If you want to also print documents connected to the shop order
material line, enable Print Attached Documents.
- If you want to aggregate pick list lines for complete handling units
into a single summarized row on the pick list report, enable
Aggregate Complete Handling Units.

Warehouse Task.
- If you want to run the process as a background job, enable
Run in Background.
- If you want to filter what material line reservations to include
in the report, use the options in the Shop Order Material Parameters
and Additional Parameters/Options.
- Work Instruction Report:
- In the Output Type drop-down, select Standard
to print the report without barcodes, or Barcode to
print the report with barcodes for operation ID and operation block
ID.
- To print the report for only a selection of the operations on the
order, enable Select Included Operations and then enable
the Include option in the list for the operations to
include in the report.
- Optionally, disable one or several of the Normal Operations,
Non-routine Operations and Normal Operations
options to only include operations with specific work types in the report.
- If you want the report to include media items, select Print
Attached Media Items.
- If you want to include attached documents, select Print
Attached Documents. Documents attached to both the shop order
work guidelines directly, and those referring to shop order work guidelines
using Object Connection Transformations page
can be printed.
- Barcode Label:
- Standard Pack Size. The default value is based
on the standard lot size of the shop order's inventory part but can
be updated. If the part is serialized and has serial numbers reserved,
the pack size value defaults to 1.
Prerequisites
- A shop order that is not in a Cancelled status must
exist.
- The shop order must be in a Released status or higher if you
want to print the shop order report, the work instructions report, or the
barcode labels report.
- For serial tracked parts, the shop order needs to have serial numbers
reserved for entire lot size if you want to print the barcode labels report.
- The shop order needs to have operations with associated tools if you
want to print the tool usage report.
- The shop order needs to have a reserved serial structure if you want
to print the reserved serial structure report.
- The shop order needs to have reserved material not yet on a pick list
if you want to create/print the pick list report. To create warehouse task,
shop order pick list must be set to Active in
Warehouse Task Type Setup page.
- The shop order needs to have a control plan attached if you want to
print the control plan report.
System Effects
- The system concurrently generates the specified types of shop order
reports.
- The relevant indicators in the Reports section on the
Shop Order page will be
set if the information is directly printed via the Print Report
dialog box, without previewing.
Note: The relevant indicators
will not be automatically set if the reports are printed via the
Order Report page.
- If the work instruction report is printed, the value in the
No of Work Instruction Reports field on the Shop Order
History page will be automatically increased with +1. The
value in the Latest Work Instruction Report No for the
shop order operations included in the report will be updated with the report
number of the generated report.
