Set Shop Order Priority

Explanation

Use this activity to connect a priority category to a shop order. The priority is used when processing the reservation order during automatic order processing or when scheduling the shop order using the IFS Advanced Planning Board. The priority category can also be used to sort operations on the Shop Floor Workbench page.

To set a shop order priority, select a value in the Priority Category field in the Settings and Options section.

Prerequisites

A priority category must have been entered for the site on the Shop Order Priorities page.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a priority category is connected to the shop order. A shop order connected to a priority category with an adjustment factor higher than 100 means it is higher prioritized than a normal order. A shop order connected to a priority category with an adjustment factor less than 100 means it is lower prioritized than a normal order.
