Use this to copy one entire master schedule level 1 set to another master
schedule set for later comparison or for simulation purposes. For example, if
master schedules are planned at the beginning of a planning period and wants
to have it after certain period of time for comparisons to check the deviations
from the actual plan, this can be used to copy your initial master schedule
plan to a different master schedule set and use it for later comparisons as
mentioned earlier. You can keep many number of such sets of your plan from different
time instances and can use for comparisons as well.
Note:
Copy Entire Master Schedule and Copy Forecast differs from each other. Copy
Forecast, copy only the forecast on a selected set to another while Copy Entire
Master Schedule, copy the whole schedule including forecasts and other scheduling
values as well
To perform this activity, a master production schedule set must be created.
As a result of this activity, the entire level 1 master production schedule is copied to the destination MS set. If there was a master production schedule already in the destination set, then it will be replaced.
