Connect Tool ID to Operation

Explanation

Connect tools and associated tool information to operations in the routing.

In Routing, for the operation select Tools to open Routing Operations Tool.

Create a new record and add a Tool ID.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The part must have been defined with at least one routing.
• A tool ID must be defined in Manufacturing Tool.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• Tools are connected to operations in a routing.
• Routing information is used in planning, scheduling, and shop order reporting.
