Define and Maintain Maintenance Level Structure

Explanation

Maintenance level structures represent the subset of the components defined in the monolithic structure which are relevant to this level of disassembly or assembly. When a maintenance level has been connected to a structure, you use the Included setting to associate a component with the selected maintenance level. Just like the monolithic structures of which they are a subset, maintenance level structures are always defined for position parts. In the case of disassembly, this structure identifies the components of the overhaul object which need to be removed according to the given maintenance level for the position. In the case of assembly, this structure identifies the components which need to be installed for the position being assembled.

The maintenance level structures are used during the work scoping process to ascertain the required components based on the maintenance level defined for each overhaul part. The interim orders that are generated from the work scope already contain the required structure information. The supply shop orders take the component information directly from the corresponding interim order rather than from the maintenance level structure itself.
