Void Flight Log
Explanation
This activity is used to void a flight log that has, for instance, been entered
incorrectly. When voiding a flight log you can choose to also have the connected
flights voided or to move these flights to another open flight log for a different
vehicle. Note however that if the Connected to Operational Event option
is enabled for a flight, you will not be allowed to move the flight to another
vehicle as the flight is specific to the vehicle for which it was defined.
If the connected flights are to be moved, and flight servicing activities
have been defined directly on the flight log being voided, you can choose to
move these flight servicing activities to the new flight log by enabling the
Move connected Flight Servicing Activities option.
To perform this activity, open the Flight Log page and search
for your flight log number or serial. Change the flight log Status to
Void. In the Void Flight Log dialog, enter appropriate
information.
- If one or more flights on the flight log are to be moved, in the
Move to Flight Log No field enter the flight log number of the flight
log to which the flights are to be moved.
- Enable the Move connected Flight Servicing Activities option
if you want to move all the flight servicing activities that are defined
directly on the old flight log to the new flight log.
- From the table in Flights section, select the
flights that are to be moved to the new flight log and click OK.
Prerequisites
- The flight log must be in the Open status.
System Effects
- The flight log is set to the Voided status and will no longer
be considered valid.
- Depending on your selection the connected flights will either be moved
to another open flight log or be set to the Voided status. When moving
a flight between flight logs, a copy of the flight will be created and connected
to the new open flight log while the original will remain on the old flight
log with the Voided status for documentation purposes.
- Depending on your selection, the flight servicing activities that are
defined directly on the flight log will be moved to the new flight log.
- For informational purposes voiding information will be displayed in
the Voiding Information section in Flight
tab,Flight log page.
- The flights that have been moved can be viewed from the Moved Flights
tab in Flight Log page.
For historical flight logs this information will be displayed in the
Moved Flights tab in Flight Log History page.
- Once the number of days defined in the Hist. Flight Logs After No
Of Days field (Flight Operator Information page in
Flight Log Basic Data) is reached, the voided flight log will
be moved to history through a background job. If a number of days is not
defined, the voided flight log will be moved to history as soon as the background
job is executed.
