Create New Headcount Plan

Explanation

This activity is used to create a new headcount plan for your organization structure. Headcount plans can be created for standard company structures, as well as multi-company matrix structures.

Headcount plans can be used not only to plan how your headcount should change, but also to automatically file vacancy requests.

Use Create New Headcount Plan option to create a new headcount plan. You can select a standard company structure, or a matrix structure.

Use Assigned Employees to view employees assigned to the selected organization code (and optionally to all of its subordinate units). An employee will be displayed if his or her assignment is valid for at least  a single day within the accounting year displayed in the header.

Use Headcount Plan tab to get more information about the values displayed in the Current Headcount column.

Headcount plan is based on a company-specific calendar. Accounting periods are fetched from a company calendar to divide the plan into periods (e.g. months). In the From Company field, enter the ID of a company from which a calendar will be fetched to create a plan for the matrix structure.

If you want to create a blank headcount plan, activate the Target data not calculated option.
If you want to fill in the plan with basic information, activate the Target data calculated based on employment on date option and enter a date in the field next to it. The system will take headcount information from this date (but only primary employments), and use it as the planned headcount for the year selected. This way you will need to only adjust the existing headcount instead of entering everything yourself.

If Target data calculated based on employment on date is selected headcount plan will only have information about a number of employees in each organization unit. It will enable the Target data generated for positions option and if selected  the number of employees will be further divided into positions.
