Enter Measurement
Explanation
This activity is used to enter the value that is obtained during the
measurement of the object. A measurement is carried out on a parameter that has
previously been entered for the object. You can also enter whether the
measurement has been carried out on a special test point defined for the object.
Note: In Ad hoc Work Reporting assistant, the
obtained measurement value for the object can be entered in the
Measurements step. Upon finishing the assistant, a work task created
and the measurements for the object will be updated.
Prerequisites
Before the measurement is entered, the following must have been completed:
- A test point and a parameter must have been connected to the object on the
Serial Object or
Functional Object
page
in IFS/Equipment.
System Effects
- The object parameter is updated with the last measured value.
- If the result of the measurement falls outside of the limits, it will also
be displayed under the PM action to which the parameter is connected.
- If two or more accumulated measurements are registered and a PM action
is registered, it generates a condition based forecast PM plan.
- If the measured value fails validation, the measurement is still saved, but
with the Preliminary Reading measurement type. This reading will not be
used to manage PM plans. It should be corrected before it can be used.
