Create Pegged Order

Explanation

This activity is used to create a pegged order for a specific DOP order. This functionality is used to create supply for a DOP order where the demand has increased, or the supply has decreased after the DOP order has been released.

To create a pegged order use the Create Pegged Order dialog. The dialog is accessed by clicking Supply, then Create New Pegged Order on the DOP Order page or by clicking Create New Pegged Order on the Supply tab on the DOP Order page. In the Create Pegged Order dialog select the supply order type and click OK. This can also be done from the DOP Header page after first expanding the tree structure in order to display the DOP order.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the DOP order is in Released state and that the DOP order quantity has increased, or the supply order quantity has decreased after release. The DOP order quantity is higher than the total supply order quantity.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• A new pegged order is created for the DOP order. If the part has a scrap factor defined, the shop/purchase order will be created with a quantity higher than the quantity required by the DOP order to cover for the planned scrap.
• If the DOP order is project specific the pegged order created will be tagged with project ID and activity sequence.
