Add Work Guideline to DOP Order
Explanation
This activity is used to add work guidelines to a selected DOP component
or an operation.
Work guidelines are added to a selected DOP component using the
DOP Component Work Guidelines page. To acces the page clicking Work
Guidelines on the Components tab on the
DOP Order page. Work guidelines are added to a
selected DOP operation using the
DOP Operation Work Guidelines page. To access the page clicking Work
Guidelines on the Operations tab on the
DOP Order page.
In the
DOP Component Work Guidelines or the
DOP Operation Work Guidelines page a work guideline is added
by clicking the new command and entering information about the
guideline.
- To use an existing work guideline template select a particular work guideline
template in the Guideline Template field.
- To create a work guideline manually, enter information in the
Guideline Description and Guideline Text fields.
- Select a value in the Guideline Type field. For component
work guidelines valid values are Instruction and Reference.
If you choose Reference, you must enter values for the X
Coordinate, Y Coordinate, Z Coordinate and
Reference Qty fields. For operation work guidelines valid values are
Instruction and Subtask. If you choose Subtask you
can select Required to Close Operation in the Sign Off
Required field to prevent the operation from closing before the
subtask has been signed off. Select Required to Close Shop Order
in the Inspection Sign Off Required field to prevent the shop
order from closing before the subtask has been signed off.
- Optionally, enter a reference number in the Reference Number
field and select a reference type in the
Reference Type field.
- If there is a need to validate the employee qualification for the
subtask, you can enter Emp Qual Profile. Then the field Sign Off Required
must have value Required to Close Operation.
- If there is a need to validate the inspection employee qualification
for the subtask, you can enter Inspect Emp Qual Profile. Then the
field Inspection Sign of Required must have value
Required to Close Operation or Required to Close Shop Order.
This can also be done from
the DOP Header
page when expanding the tree structure in order to display the DOP order.
Prerequisites
The DOP component must not be in the Closed or Cancelled status.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the system adds work guidelines to a DOP component
or an operation. Please note that if you add a work guideline to a released
DOP it will not automatically replicated to the pegged shop order.
