Propagate Date Upstream

Explanation

This activity is used to propagate dates upstream in a DOP structure (to child levels of the structure). The dates on lower levels in the DOP structure change with respect to the due date on the DOP order on which you perform the command and the lead time offset.

To propagate dates upstream click Propagate Date/Quantity, then click Propagate Date Upstream on the DOP Order or the DOP Orders page. This can also be done from the DOP Header page after first expanding the tree structure in order to display the DOP order.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the DOP order has components.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The due and start dates on lower levels in the DOP structure are changed based on the due date of the DOP order, the lead time offset of the DOP order, and the lead time of the component DOP order part.
• The lead-time is calculated due to the lot size and the routing revision and alternative for the component DOP order.
