Register Arrival

Explanation

This activity is used to register the serial which is received by the MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) organization responsible for maintaining it. The location of the serial should be set and access control of the serial should be defined or changed.

To perform this activity, select the Change Location option from the Manage Serial Structure page and enter a new location in the Location Code field of the Set Location dialog.

To define access rights for serials, follow the relevant procedure described in the Establish Access Rights for Serials activity.

Prerequisites

• The serial which is to be maintained must have been created in IFS/Fleet and Asset Management.
• Location codes must have been defined in basic data.
• To be able to spread access rights to serials, the access groups must have been defined for the serial's template parts.

• The location of the serial will be defined.
• Access to the serial will be controlled.
