Use this function to create a project from a customer order. When a project is created from a customer order, it is automatically connected to the customer order header. To create a project connected to a customer order, go to Customer Order page, query the required customer order/create a new one and select Project/Create Project from the Command menu. The other way of doing this is by connecting an existing project to the customer order. This is done by entering the Project ID on the Project Reference section in Customer Order/Order Details tab. The prerequisites given below also apply for this way of connection.
Note: Customer order lines can also be manually connected to project activities (refer to the activity Connect Existing Object to Activity).
The New Project page will return most of the customer order data (currency, company, customer, and site) by default . If these values are changed and conflict with any of the below prerequisites, a project or project connection will not be created.
