Activate Control Plan Template
Explanation
This activity is used to activate a control plan template revision. The control
plan template must be Active to be used. A control plan template in state
Active cannot be changed.
To activate a control plan template revision click Set Active.
Prerequisites
A control plan template revision in status Created must exist. If a
checklist exists, then all checklist items must be approved.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the control plan template will be in
Active
status. If you are activating a new revision of an already existing template:
- Control plans in state Created referring to the template will
be updated with the new revision
- Control plans in state Active referring to the template will be phased
out and replaced by a new revision
- Reference to Existing Active Control Plans will be removed if the new
template revision is activated.
- Affected shop order will be updated with new control plans.
- Note: Control plans in a state Active with simplified
revision handling enabled which refer control plan templates will behave
in similar way. Changes will not be directly applied to active control plans
plans, instead new revision will be created.
