Create Control Chart
Explanation
This activity is used to create a control chart for a specific line on a control plan.
When creating Xbar and R chart, Xbar and S chart, np chart, and c chart,
the defined sample size and resulting sample size will be used.
- p Chart - Gives information about the proportion of nonconforming units.
- np Chart - Gives information about the number of nonconforming units.
- c Chart - Gives information about the number of nonconformities.
- u Chart - Gives information about the number of nonconformities per unit.
- Xbar and R Chart - Gives information about the average and the range
of the result set of each analysis selected in the graph.
- Xbar and S Chart - Gives information about the average and the standard
deviation of the result set of each analysis selected in the graph.
- X and MR Chart - Gives information about individual
results and moving ranges for each analysis selected in the graph.
An analysis will not be included in creating a chart if any of the following
conditions exist:
- The status of the data point is Incomplete.
- The analysis result is in the Cancelled status.
- The defined fixed sample size of the data point and the resulting sample
size of the analysis results do not match. (This does not apply for the
p chart and u chart.)
To create a control chart for a specfic data point click Create
SPC Chart on the Control Plan Lines tab,
eventually update the information displayed in the Create SPC
Chart dialog and click OK.
Prerequisites
- To create a control chart for a specific control plan line, the
corresponding control plan must exist, and at least two analyses must be
complete for this specific control plan line.
- SPC is enabled for the control plan line.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a control chart for a specific control plan
line is created depending on the sample size.
