Remove Shift Deviations
Explanation
Perform this activity to remove unwanted shift deviation records that were
created when the resource shift or break was added, edited or deleted.
Removal of shift deviations can be done for an individual record or for multiple
records using the Remove Deviation command. Moreover, all deviations
created against a scheduling resource can be removed through the assistant when
generating resource schedules and capacity.
Prerequisites
- A resource shift or break must have been edited, deleted or entered
manually to create shift deviations.
System Effects
- When a new shift has been added, it creates a shift deviation which
when removed, will also remove the created shift and the corresponding record
in calculated capacity.
- When the shift has been edited, it creates a shift deviation which when
removed, will restore the latest shift, and the corresponding record in
calculated capacity.
- When the shift has been deleted, it creates a shift deviation which
when removed, will restore the shift and the corresponding record in calculated
capacity.
- A resource shift change log is created If the shift is, as a result
of removning the deviation, changed within the shift freeze period (if defined),
or if the shift is changed by the logged in user's own resource schedule.
The change log can be viewed in Resource Shift Change Log
page and the shift freeze period is defined in Resource Basic
Data.
