Enter Freight Price List Header

Explanation

This activity is used to create a site delivery freight price list. A site delivery freight price list is created for a specific ship-via code or a transport method and the freight charges are specified for different freight zones.

It is indicated in the freight price list header if the the freight charges should be calculated based on the volume or the weight.

There can be only one active freight price list for a valid site, ship via code and forwarder combination.

Note: Any charges and amounts in a freight price list are considered as excluding tax unless the price list is defined as using price including tax. A freight price list will only be used on a sales quotation or a customer order with a similar usage of price including tax.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The required zone map and the zone definitions should exist.
• The required ship-via code must already exist.
• The required charge type, belonging to the charge category Freight, should exist.

System Effects

• A freight price list header is created in the Planned status.
• Price and tax calculation basis are controlled by the setting on the Use Price Incl Tax option. The default setting of the option is retrieved from the site connected to the freight price list header.
