Enter Single-Occurrence Address per Line
Explanation
Use this function to define a temporary delivery address for a particular
order line. By default, all new order lines have the same delivery address as
defined for the order header. By entering a delivery address (single-occurrence
or not) for a specific order line, you can have different delivery addresses
for the order line and the order header. By entering a single-occurrence address,
you can deliver the order line to a temporary address that has not been previously
entered as customer basic data in
Customer.
Note: When changing to a single-occurrence address you might need
to review the delivery information and manually define an external transport
lead time in the
Order Details
section in the Customer Order Line Address
dialog.
Use the Address command from the lines to change the address
information for the specific line.
Prerequisites
- The order line must have been entered and saved.
- The country code and its address format must have been defined, or any
one of the existing country codes must be defined as the default country.
This is done in IFS/Enterprise,
Address Presentation.
- If you are using Vertex software to automatically calculate taxes on
sales quotations, customer orders, customer order invoices and return material
authorizations the City, County, State and Zip Code fields must be correctly
filled in to retrieve the appropriate jurisdiction code and accurately calculate
taxes. If you change any of these fields, the jurisdiction code will be
changed based on the new values when the record is saved.
System Effects
- A single-occurrence delivery address is defined for the order line.
The ordered parts will be delivered to this address. This is a temporary
address, i.e., it will be used only for this specific order line.
- If the order line has the supply code Internal Purchase Direct
or Purchase Direct and a pegged purchase order is created, the replication
dialog will appear in order to replicate the changes to the pegged purchase
order and send a change request.
