Copy Configuration
Explanation
This activity is used to copy an already existing configuration instead
of creating a new one. It is then possible to use this configuration as is,
or as a basis for a new configuration.
You can copy a configuration using the Copy Configuration
dialog. The dialog can be accessed from several pages. To access the dialog
from the:
- Business Opportunity page: On the
Opportunity Lines tab, select the appropriate item,
click Configuration and then Copy From.
- Customer Order page: On the
Lines tab, select the appropriate item, click
Configuration and then Copy From.
- Customer Order Lines page: Select the
appropriate item, click Configuration and then
Copy From.
- Sales Quotation page: On the
Lines tab, select the appropriate item, click
Configuration and then Copy From.
- Sales Quotation Lines page: Select the
appropriate item, click Configuration and then
Copy From.
In the Copy Confiugration dialog you select the
configuration of your choice in the Configuration ID to Copy
section. Then click OK and proceed.
Prerequisites
- There must exist either a customer order, sales quotation or business opportunity
header with at least one line for a configurable part.
- No configuration have been entered for the item yet.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, an existing configuration along with the default
pricing information is copied to the line.
