Handle Material
Explanation
This activity is used to receive and issue materials which is required when
executing the work assignment. It initially involves to receive the required
materials into an accessible warehouse by executing the respective transportation
tasks. The main purpose of this activity is to Issue the required parts on the
respective work task assignments.
Following procedure can be used to execute the material transportation tasks
and issue the respective parts from the Subcontract Work Orders >
Execute Work Lobby Page.
Using Material Summary page,
- Go to Lobby section for Material Summary and find material
summary lines that has In Transit option.
- Select them and click on Receive Material command.
- Notice the reception of respective parts into warehouse Material Stocks.
- Select the same set of lines as above and observe that the Issue
button is enabled.
- Click on the Issue command and then, Issue Material dialog
opens.
- Pick the Location, quantity to be issued and Click OK.
Using Work Task Details page,
- Go to Lobby section for Ongoing Assignments and select
one or few Work Started assignments.
- Click Work Task Details button to navigate into respective work
tasks.
- Open the sub group for Materials.
- Find one or few material summary lines that has In Transit option.
- Select them and click on Receive Material command
- Notice the reception of respective parts into warehouse Material Stocks.
- Select the same set of lines as above and observe that the Issue
button is enabled.
- Click on the Issue command and then, Issue Material dialog
opens.
- Pick the Location, quantity to be issued and Click OK.
Prerequisites
- B2B interface, Execute Work must be available and accessible.
- Log in user must have the respective B2B Supplier - User connection.
- Log in user must have a remote warehouse connection.
- Job owner must have to reserve the required materials to trigger a
Transportation Task.
System Effects
- Parts are received into the user connected warehouses.
- Parts are issued on work task assignments.
