When a work order has been created, you can continue by planning and preparing the permits on the work order. The preparations process varies slightly depending on what reason the work order was created in the first place i.e. if it was created via a repair work order, a work task template, a PM generated work order, or if you are preparing the work on a quotation and so on.
It is possible to enter one or more permits per work order. You can connect any number of permit attributes on to each permit type. A common permit type is safety regulations. It may describe certain actions that must be performed manually before a task can be done, or certain equipments that is needed for performing the task. Permits can also be work certificates. Some tasks require a work certificate that specifies a time for the task to be completed, and that needs to be handed over to a manager to prove that the work is finished. Here you can create new permits, prepare new ones, and connect attributes on to a permit.
When you create a new permit for a work order, it receives a unique identity. If the work order is PM-generated, and the PM action had permits linked to it, the permits are included at generation, and each permit receives a unique ID number.
The prepare work order is used in IFS/Maintenance, and in IFS Cloud for Service Management.
